Royal India Bikes LLP Testimonials November 2013
Thank you so much for your bike on rent in Delhi. It was not only our transport but our friend. The Enfield is amazing, and will climb ANYTHING. We called ours “ Sgt Bash “. We spent an amazing week trudling around the mountains, such a beautiful part of the world !! Thank you again, and hopefully we will be back one day.

We would like to thank Rajiv.
We were planning three weeks holiday in India and didn’t want to travel with the Indian Buses. So we read some information about travelling through India on a Motorbike on the Internet. Could we also rent a bike in Delhi?? We were “a bit” insecure if we could drive a bike (after 30 Years not driving a motorbike) in India and travel with a pillion and luggage.
I tried to get some information about bike rentals in Delhi and travelling with a motorbike from several companies. But after a few days it was already clear that we would rent a bike in Delhi from Royal India Bikes. Rajiv always gave a quick and helpful answer on all our mails and questions (a lot of questions and mails…;)).
That’s really the big difference between Rajiv and the other companies. He’s always there when there are questions and will respond quickly and friendly.
We rented our motorbike in Chandigarh and stayed there in de Farmstay from Rajiv. It was very good and we enjoyed being there. The food was delicious, the people friendly and it’s a very nice quiet farm in the busy city of Chandigarh. We got our fast new Royal Enfield 500 Classic, with two new panniers and made a very nice trip through Himachal Pradesh. The motorbike was fantastic…. I love it…the sound, the way it took us everywhere. The roads are often very bad and you have to be careful because of the traffic (buses) but it’s a very good way to travel and to experience India. You are free to do what you want. You are direct in the Film while travelling through the landscapes. So much to see and to experience. The Royal Enfield is terrific for the Indian conditions. I wondered every day that the motorbike didn’t fall apart with these conditions, but every morning he was there and ready to travel. He didn’t disappoint us one minute. We learned that driving big distances, like we are used in Europe, is not possible and not the Indian way. Take time and enjoy it. We made an small cushion on the pillion otherwise it’s a very hard sit.
The good part of travelling with your own motorbike, you just stop when it is enough…. drink something…eat something or just have some nice moments in this beautiful country. 150 kilometres a day was our limit. More is possible, but on the back roads you will maybe travel only 40-50 km an our. On our last day returning to Chandigarh to bring the bike back we were 100% sure we will return to India and explore other parts of India on a Royal Enfield by taking bike on rent in Delhi.
The farm stay and the service (very good bike!!)by Rajiv made this trip a great success.
Till next year
Warm greetings Roderick and Eveline from Switzerland - J. Klemptner ( Starnberg )
January 2014
- Siebe
Hi Rajiv,
Thank you so much for the great trip. I have been truly impressed by the professionalism you, your company and Ronny had. Everything has been very well organized, communication was smooth and quick and the quality of the trip was superb. Taking a bike on rent in Delhi proved to be a great idea.
I have enjoyed every second of it. Ronny was a great road captain, guide and friend on the trip. The only comment I would have is on the accommodation/food side of things. In my booking I showed a preference for homestays and small local accommodation. I must admit I enjoyed the homestays in Jodhpur, Ajmer en Agra more than the palaces. Of course, I could have spotted this in the itinerary you sent me. But I think it would have been better to have 1 or 2 palaces and the rest local accommodation. Also, personally I would have preferred not to have all meals included. When we arrived late we couldn’t use the lunch anymore that was paid for. Also, during non-riding days it was inconvenient to have meals booked at the hotel since we were out sightseeing.
Again, this is a minor comment and didn’t affect the fun I had during the 11 days at all.
I have already raved about the great experience to my friends and family and would definitely recommend your company to others and suggest bike rental in delhi. And if I get the opportunity for a next adventure in India, I sure will be in touch.
Thanks again,

Hi Rajiv ,
We just wanted to thank you again for your professionalism in dealing with our request. From our first email to the bikes’s reception after our trip everything went very smoothly. The 4 bikes were in a very good conditions and we had no damage / default to report after a tough week on the roads.
Thank you again for having taken care for the (very) late arrival of my luggage at the airport, as we were already travelling.
Do not hesitate to give my contact details if needed.

Rajiv,
After using the rear brake to kick-start your bike ( 350 CC ), I doubted whether I had done the right thing hiring a biggish bike with little riding experience from bike rental delhi. However, it was built like a tank and survived 1,400 kms in 2 weeks. Absolutely loved riding it and thanks for arranging at last minute. I felt in safe hands despite being miles away. All the best, I ll be back for Leh-Manali one day.

Rajiv,
What a trip, just when we mastered things, the road throwed another trick our way. Whether it was the 6 inch mud trails down Rohtang, thin air at Khardungla or the huge trucks with killer instincts throughout…it was an unforgettable adventure. Thanks for all your organization, help & support throughout you ve been great and you’ve left us with some memories of a lifetime ( thankfully none of which are injuries ) by providing us bike on rent delhi.

Dear Rajiv,
First of all, I´d like to thank you for renting me a motorcycle, especially since you knew that I wanted to do a trip all by myself. I was looking for bike on rent in Delhi. You did not know me, but all the time before coming actually to India, I had the feeling that your company was the right choice.
When we first met in Delhi, I was surprised, what kind of repair, what parts will give up you expected from your Enfield 500 because of the many spare parts you gave me. Thanks god, your bike was in a super condition and I didn’t need any of those things. About the spare petrol tank I gave you already a feedback.
Should I ever want to rent a motorcycle in India again, your company will be the first choice. My pilot-friends, with whom I do a motorcycle trip every year, will get a most positive description from Royal India Bikes. I really can recommend you!
Thank you very much!
Regards
Rebecca Blab - Thomas
Dear Royal India Bikes,
thank you very much for the fantastic service and the great bike you provided us in May 2013.
Our roadtrip of 700 km took us from Bangalore to Coorg region, home of coffee and tea plantations in the south-west of India. We enjoyed riding the Royal Enfield classic 500 cc (desertstorm) provided by you. The help and service provided by Rajiv, Giri and the team were exceptional!

Mrs & Mr Olaf Hunger from Germany, they thank you for the nice service and motorbike. It was exciting to go all over the hills from Haridwar to Devaprayag, to Dehra Dun and Mussorie. It was exciting to “ learn”
The Indian way of driving and at least all Indian people we met were very friendly to us and this is one of the reasons we will come back.Thank You to the friendly staff

Interesting places, different landscapes, beautiful beaches & very good Julian food.
Royal India Bikes is the best choice to go around on a motorcycle.

Dear Rajiv,
Now, after work is done, a short report about our Visit to India.
As you know we have been there some years ago, two times around millennium. Also travelling by Enfield bikes, but old one. So we decided to come again for biking, but there was less time for planning, we started in December and should leave at the 23th of January for fix. Also we have to be back at the 23th of February.
Biking in India is no problem, they have Moto GP, and they are coming up. The trip was about 4.200 km. Without any problem. If there would, call Rajiv, I am sure, he will help at once.
Everything was pretty good, and you cannot describe with words. You will learn much, not only about India, also about yourself.
All the Best, from heart, to you and the company!!! - Sylvaine and Jeff ( South India Trip – Bangalore )
We loved travelling in South India with the new 500cc Royal Enfield well adapted to indian roads and traffic, powerfull and pleasant to drive. we also appreciate to organize our trip with Royal India Bikes.
Rajiv is very professional and always ready to answer to our questions. The bike was revised with new tires and we had no problem with her.(We met people who had a lot of troubles).
We got the bike on time at the hotel and the same to give her back.
So we can warmly recommend Royal India Bikes. - Mark Innes ( New Zealand )
To Whom it May Concern,
My partner a I hired bikes from Royal India Bikes on two occasions. From Mumbai 3rd-7th Demcember 2012 and from Delhi 23rd-5th January 2013.
On both occasions our experience was very pleasurable. This was due to Rajiv and how extremely helpful he was. He went out of his way to ensure we were happy.
He provided clothing when we didnt have proper gear, was very helpful with maps/gps and recomodations on our route/attractions to see. He even picked us up from the airport and accommodated us in his home when there were riots in New Delhi.
He was without a doubt the nicest person we meet in India, despite us not exactly being the easyest of customers.
Because of that reason and how professional he is i would definitely recommend to company to anyone travelling to India.Regards,

Hi Rajiv,
With the freedom of being able to easily hire a great motorcycle from your company, Emily and I have just returned from a trip of a lifetime which is hard to explain in only a few words. Following another busy year of work we were both looking for a three week holiday break that could quickly transport us from our everyday responsibilities and this opportunity did just that… …and so much more. I would say, to the lucky people who want to have a taste of India by motorcycle, expect to experience adventure, rich culture, new friends, exotic scenery and a great ride.
To Rajiv and his team at Royal India Motorcycles thank you for making the organisation effortless and replying to all my email queries, it was far easier to organise then first imagined. See you soon for another trip, possibly later in the year and this time to experience a taste of the North.
With many thanks. - Conrad Greer & Belinda (Capetown – South Africa)
Route : Chandigarh-Shimla-Manali-Losar-Kaza-Tabo-Nako-Kalpa-Shimla-Chandigarh ( Approx 2000 kms )
Dear Rajiv
Our utmost appreciation and thanks for a most astonishing trip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Those little Hero Impulse Bikes are an absolute winner. Light, easy to handle, economical and fun to ride.
Your help and advise and all your organizing for us made our trip that much more memorable. You were always there to answer a call, respond promptly to an email and give the best advice. You run an absolutely fantastic show which you should be very proud of. We have only had positive experiences from your, your mother-in-law and all the people of India that we have met. A truly beautiful and tough country, with very approachable and humble people.
These last 3 weeks have been absolutely fantastic. Our thanks and appreciation for all you have done. - Gerran Wright ( Melbourne Australia )
I found a reference to Royal India Bikes (RIB) on the internet when I was researching information on motor bike tours into the Indian Himalayas. I made an enquiry into hiring Royal Enfield bikes for three people and doing the tour unassisted instead of with a tour group. One of our small group had been to India before but none had done the route we planned which was fly to Delhi, train to Chandigarh, pick up bikes and ride to Manali, cross four high mountain passes on to route to Leh, visit Nubra Valley crossing the highest motorable road in the world and Pangong Lake, and return via Kargil, Srinagar and Amristar to Chandigarh. From the initial proposal from RIB all communications were very professional with detailed notes and suggested itinerary and gave me confidence that we would be OK. When we picked up the bikes I was relieved that we got what we were promised – current model 500 classics with low kms., EFI, disc brake, left side gear change and solid racks which we loaded our gear on.I am now going through the hundreds of digital images of the trip and wished we had taken a helmet camera to record some of the challenging and stunning scenery we encountered. However these memories will last a lifetime and it was a trip that anyone interested in motorbike touring should have on their bucket list.
We had no major problems with the bikes apart from minor adjustments to chains and cables, etc. and a puncture which fortunately was outside our hotel. The hotel staff quickly sourced a tyre repair man nearby and the tube was patched and wheel replaced for 50 rupees ($1). All three bikes lost side stand springs after travelling over rough road sections and these were replaced with occy straps until new springs were located and installed for 50 rupees. We also met other travellers who had hired older bikes from another company. Their bikes had died and they had to truck them back to Manali and continue their trip by bus.Overall our trip went without hitches, all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our India experience and particularly were relieved we went with Royal India Bikes. On the financial side it cost me about one third the price of doing a similar trip with a well known tour company and I am sure we got just as much out of it and more doing it by ourselves – including finding suitable accommodation, food, etc.
I would be happy to recommend Royal India Bikes to anyone contemplating such a trip.
cheers

You and Royal India Bikes receive 5 stars for providing us excellent bikes and excellent service. You went above and beyond just a bike rental by helping us organize the itinerary, assisting with personal health issues along the trip, and arranging our train tickets before and after the trip. You responded to our emails and calls promptly and professionally.
When we had normal “ wear & tear “ issues with the bikes, Rajiv was there to organize repairs, talk via cell phone to the mechanics and arrange for the bill to be paid. 100 % excellent customer service ! We wish you and your business success !!

I am in a strange country, with rough roads and chaotic traffic, I am on my own, not absolutely sure of my directions, On a mission to find my ancestors who left india over 100 years ago.
So much unknown scenes, roads , customs, places, So much uncertainty of where i will sleep, who i will find. But the reassuring beat of the 500cc bullet and with rajiv of royalindiabikes Only a phone call away i fulfilled my dreams on this mission.
Thanks , royalindiabikes, without you who knows?? - Tobias & Korneel ( Netherlands )
It was a nice experience driving on Royal Enfield Bikes in India.

The trip has been fantastic and very beautiful, especially the landscapes and people of the Himalayas.
The bike is perfect, tough, durable, comfortable, large, and in general it is the best bike we have used in our travels, and surely we will repeat it with a Royal Enfield
Rajiv is a great host, and it’s obvious that he likes his work and loves these motorcycles.
We will not forget this trip, we were soaked, cold and hot, on another occasion we were a little scared because of the Himalyan roads and the Kamikaze drivers, but it was the best trip that we could have dreamt of in India, and think that we will repeat the Ladakh experience , with the same bike and the same agency.
Many Thanks, - Adam Simmen
for the Leh trip was matched by the generosity and support of Rajiv and family. I rode from Chandigarh to Leh and back over 12 days. It was exhilarating, a real life video game.
From the beginning Rajiv did an outstanding and thoroughly professional job in compiling my options and providing me with choices. In fact, he couldn’t have done it better. Prompt, courteous, attentive to detail, thorough in his research and always responsive with enthusiasm. Rajiv was so kind and reassuring and very knowledgeable. Not once did it feel like a business transaction but almost like borrowing a friends bike.
Even in the middle of the night following a minor accident I was flustered, anxious and lost I was treated with kindness and helpfulness.Just stay away from the farms Mango’s they are deliciously addictive.
Thanks for taking such great care of me.”

Our trip started from Malevikas house, who gently housed us during the night before getting the on the bikes at Bangalore. The trip was hard and we had some problems that had to be resolved during the way, but it was an incredible experience riding from Bangalore to Alibagh via Goa on 500 CC Classic Royal Enfields. The Royal India team was always supporting and contacting us for checking if everything was ok and helping in the way they could. If you don’t want your trip to be spoiled by odd circumstances and want to have people behind that really care for your trip, I definitely recommend contacting this great people.
